Down by the River

A couple of weekends ago, we took Crosby up to my uncle's place on the White River.

The trip served as a test run for our upcoming beach trip. We wanted to see how Crosby would do in the car and sleeping in an unfamiliar place. The good thing is that we also had a wonderful, relaxing weekend. The bonus was getting to spend some time with my dad's brother, my Uncle Gill.

So this picture is pretty special. My Dad thought his little brother was the bee's knees and here he is with Crosby:

Dad and Gill didn't look much a like when they were younger, but as both got older and the Graves' genes took over, they started to look more and more alike. Gill has 9 grandchildren of his own! So he's an old pro at this.

Someone loved the ROCKS!

Thanks for a fabulous weekend, Uncle Gill! We love you!

Crosby @ 8 Months

Dear Crozzie Bear:

[This post is a little late because I had to first edit all the pics from Great Strides. But all photos were taken on his actual 8th month birthday.]

You are eight months old today! You are a super busy Little Dude these days. Still not crawling but you certainly think about it a lot and can twist, turn, roll, and lean backwards to get in whatever position you need to be in.

You have two teeth now and love to eat. Bananas are still your favorite but new foods this month include blueberries, mangoes, acorn squash and coconut oil! You love to eat and rarely miss a bite.

You have a great personality and are super friendly, as long as Momma or Daddy are within sight.

You give the best hugs and reach for me when you want to be held.

You love baths, books, and doing anything outside. The moment you start to fuss, we just walk outside and you immediately calm down.

You are the light of our lives and we love you so much!

Love,

Momma and Daddy

p.s. I kid you not, he started saying "Momma" on Mother's Day. FIRST WORD!! My mom finally caught it on video:

THANK YOU!!

Dear Friends, Family, and Fans of The Crosby Show:

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!

On Saturday, the Great Strides walk benefiting the Arkansas chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation was a HUGE success. The Crosby Show team came out in style, in our Hawaiian garb to say, "ALOHA CF!" (Hello and Goodbye)!! We had 76 people in attendance at the walk supporting our team and raised over $7,000.00! Not bad for a first time team. The event, overall, raised $105,000. So exciting! That's $100,000+ towards developing treatments and a cure for those suffering from the nastiness that is CF.

I was overwhelmed by the number of you that donated and it meant so much to see so many come out to the walk to support Crosby. I can't express how grateful we are and how loved and supported you all made us feel. From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU!

I know that in years to come, Crosby will feel so lifted up that so many of his friends are behind him in his battle against CF. See you next year?!?!

Crosby was ready to go. It was a little chilly out and he was a little overwhelmed by the crowd.

Crosby did lap 1 in the wrap and was a happy guy.

My niece, Marlee (center), made our signs. She's so artistic! Thanks Mars!

I tried to get everyone's picture! By the way, The Crosby Show was the second largest team in attendance and came in third for the most money raised. WE RECEIVED THE AWARD FOR THE BEST T-SHIRT though... Apparently, no team has ever worn a "costume". ALOHA!!!!!!!
